Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) is the nodal agency of the Government of Kerala, India, dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship and supporting technology-based startups. Originally known as the Technopark Technology Business Incubator, KSUM manages a vibrant ecosystem for high-technology startups through incubation, acceleration, and comprehensive support across the state. It coordinates various incubators and promotes knowledge-driven ventures among students, faculty, and local entrepreneurs. KSUM supports over 4,100 startups in sectors such as AI, healthcare, fintech, and biotechnology, facilitating around ₹2,000 crore in investments. The organization provides extensive resources, including 10 lakh sq. ft. of infrastructure, funding, mentorship, and access to specialized labs for research and development. KSUM also runs programs like the Startup Leadership Academy and Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Cells (IEDCs) in educational institutions to nurture talent and transform ideas into viable products. Through partnerships with government, academia, and industry, KSUM aims to create a supportive environment for job creation and economic growth, particularly for women, youth, and underrepresented groups.
