About us

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) is a leading provider of post-trade financial market infrastructure. Established in 1999, DTCC was formed through the merger of The Depository Trust Company and the National Securities Clearing Corporation. It plays a crucial role in reducing risk, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring transparency in global capital markets. DTCC operates several key subsidiaries, including the Depository Trust Company, which is the largest central securities depository in the world, and the National Securities Clearing Corporation, which clears and settles most U.S. broker-to-broker trades. The Fixed Income Clearing Corporation manages clearing for U.S. government and mortgage-backed securities. DTCC offers a wide range of services, including clearing and settlement, custody and asset servicing, and risk management, processing quadrillions in transactions annually. Its member-owned structure allows it to serve major dealer-brokers, custodian banks, and institutional investors, contributing to the stability and efficiency of financial markets.
