About us

Flint Energies is a not-for-profit, member-owned electric cooperative based in Reynolds, Georgia, established in 1937. It serves over 250,000 residents across 17 counties in central Georgia, operating more than 7,000 miles of distribution lines and 50 substations. The cooperative provides electricity primarily to residential, commercial, and industrial members, with a focus on reliability and community commitment. In addition to electricity, Flint Energies is developing a 3,000-mile fiber-to-the-home network to enhance broadband connectivity in rural areas. The cooperative is part of the Touchstone Energy Cooperative network, emphasizing values such as integrity and accountability. Flint Energies also manages a smart grid system to ensure efficient power delivery and is increasing its use of renewable energy sources, aiming for 26% of its generation capacity to come from green resources by 2026. Flint Energies actively supports community initiatives through programs like Operation Round Up, which has awarded over $5 million in local charitable grants since 2001. With a dedicated workforce of about 215 employees, the cooperative is committed to improving the quality of life and economic vitality in its service area.
