MuleSoft

Overview

MuleSoft, LLC is a software company based in San Francisco, specializing in integration software that connects applications, data, and devices. Founded in 2006 by Ross Mason and Dave Rosenberg, MuleSoft originated from the open-source project Mule, created in 2003. The company rebranded from MuleSource to MuleSoft in 2009 and was acquired by Salesforce.com in May 2018 for $6.5 billion. MuleSoft's main product is the Anypoint Platform, an integration platform as a service (iPaaS) that facilitates the integration of software as a service (SaaS), on-premises software, and legacy systems. This platform allows organizations to create an "application network," enabling seamless connectivity through APIs. The company has evolved from providing middleware and messaging solutions to offering a comprehensive iPaaS approach, further enhanced by its acquisition of ProgrammableWeb in 2013. MuleSoft serves a diverse customer base, including many organizations from the Global 2000.
