Queen's Health System

Overview

The Queen's Health Systems is a nonprofit organization that operates a family of hospitals and health-related entities in Hawaii. It was founded in 1985, building on the legacy of The Queen's Medical Center, which was established in 1859 by Queen Emma and King Kamehameha IV. The organization was created to provide healthcare services, particularly to Native Hawaiians and other residents, during times of public health crises. The flagship facility, The Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu, is the largest private nonprofit hospital in Hawaii, offering advanced medical services. Another key facility is Queen’s Medical Center – West Oahu, which was refurbished in 2014 to enhance emergency care capacity. The Queen's Health Systems is dedicated to delivering comprehensive healthcare, including emergency services and specialized programs, while maintaining a commitment to the community and public health.
